AZ-900 training: Azure Fundamentals
The fundamentals of the cloud and Microsoft Azure in one day. With the official Microsoft courseware (AZ-900T00), explanations, demonstrations and labs in the Azure portal. Afterwards, you are prepared for the exam for Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, a logical first step towards other Azure certifications.

What you will learn
The training follows the three domains that Microsoft measures in the AZ-900 exam. The percentage shows how much weight each domain carries.

The building blocks of Azure and how they fit together.
- Regions, availability zones, subscriptions and management groups
- Virtual machines, containers, functions and Azure Virtual Desktop
- Networking and storage, including redundancy and migration
- Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access, RBAC and Zero Trust
Management and governance
30 to 35% of the exam
Control over costs, policy and management.
- Managing costs with the pricing calculator and tags
- Azure Policy, resource locks and Microsoft Purview
- Managing with the portal, Cloud Shell, CLI and PowerShell, Azure Arc and infrastructure as code
- Monitoring with Azure Advisor, Service Health and Azure Monitor

Good to know
For IT professionals who are new to Azure, for example from infrastructure management, database administration or software development. Also suitable for teams who want to build the same foundation together before moving to Azure.
General IT knowledge is enough. Experience with Azure or scripting is not required: in the labs, you work with the Azure portal and the command line.
You take the AZ-900 exam online or at a test centre. To pass, you need a score of 700 or higher (on a scale of 1,000). If the exam is not available in your own language, you can request 30 minutes of extra time. Microsoft offers a free practice assessment.
No. Microsoft Fundamentals certifications do not expire.
The skills Microsoft measures as of 20 July 2026. Microsoft updates the exam regularly; we update the training accordingly.
